物體的認知,是依據特徵元素的拼組。自商業手法導入產品設計後,物品的樣貌開始變得更加多元化,卻也漸漸失去原本的特徵讓人無法辨識。傳統物品皆有其不可分割之特徵要素,唯有透過這些要素的構成,方可讓使用者容易得到理解與認知。

本設計以玩味的概念針對於茶壺進行設計。手法上,利用特徵元素的隱藏、遮蔽,到完整顯現;運用幾何造型與中國傳統茶壺造型間的交替轉換,讓使用者在單純的泡茶過程中,豐富體驗從疑問到認知、從現代到傳統的交互感受,試圖傳達出對物品認知上,與記憶上的衝突與驚奇體驗。

利用泡茶與倒茶之間的過程,讓傳統茶壺造型如同影像般的顯現與消失,而茶水本身的色彩亦可讓使用者直覺聯想到中國傳統茶壺的材質色澤。

 
The recognition of an object shall be in accordance with the combination of its feature elements. Since the commercial and marketing approaches were led to product design, they diversify the appearances of our everyday objects. The objects gradually lose the original distinctive character which make some of the contemporary products are hardly to be recognized. All the traditional things own their distinctive features and elements that are unable to be divided. Through the construction of these elements, users can easily comprehend and recognize them.

This design is based on the delightful concept in teapot design. In this method, using certain distinctive features and elements to hide and cover till the product is completed; and through alternative transferring among geometric patterns and traditional Chinese teapot models, user can experience deeply the rich correlatively feeling from doubt to recognition as well as from contemporary to tradition, try to pass the knowledge of things and the conflicts of memories as well as the surprising experiences.

During the process of making and pouring tea, the shape of traditional teapot appears and vanishes repeatedly just like an image. Moreover, the color of tea will make user instinctively think of the color of traditional Chinese teapot.
